Chapter 342 Pangu vs. Odin
Chapter 342 Pangu vs. Odin
Pangu grasped the Eternal Spear.
The gun in his hand was like a twig, not even trembling.
Su Fan opened his eyes and looked at the blue hand, at the golden patterns on the back of the hand.
He looked up following that hand.
His arms were bluish-gray, his muscles were as hard as stone, and his veins were like golden snakes writhing beneath his skin.
His shoulders were broad, like a mountain.
Its neck is very thick, like a pillar.
Pangu stood before him.
He is not the Pangu that Su Fan saw at Buzhou Mountain.
That Pangu was so thin he was skin and bones, covered in wounds, and his hair was completely white.
This Pangu was all muscle, had black hair, and no wrinkles on his face.
His eyes were blue with golden pupils, like two suns.
He wore a fur skirt and was barefoot, his bare feet crushing the stones on the ground.
Pangu looked down at Odin.
Odin stared at Pangu, the golden light in his single eye trembling.
"You...you weren't dead?"
Pangu said, "I have died. And I have come back to life."
He turned the Spear of Eternity over and looked at it; the runes on the spear were dancing, like startled snakes.
Pangu flicked the gun barrel with his finger, causing it to vibrate and half of the runes to disappear.
Odin's expression changed drastically. He reached out and beckoned, and the Spear of Eternity flew from Pangu's hand back into Odin's.
The runes on the gun lit up again, but much dimmer than before.
Pangu looked at Odin.
"I don't care what kind of god you are or where you come from. Asgard doesn't belong to you; it belongs to the World Tree. The World Tree doesn't belong to you; it belongs to the giants. The giants don't belong to you; they belong to Chaos. Chaos doesn't belong to you; it belongs to the corpses. The corpses I cleave are mine to decide."
Odin gripped the Spear of Eternity, its tip aimed at Pangu.
"I don't care what you say. Asgard is mine, the World Tree is mine, and the Nine Realms are mine. If you try to take them, I will kill you."
As Pangu took a step, a crack appeared in the ground, extending from his feet all the way to the trunk of the World Tree.
Odin lost his balance and swayed.
In that instant, Pangu's fist arrived.
The fist wasn't big, but its power was terrifying.
His fist was enveloped in a blue light that illuminated the entirety of Asgard.
Odin couldn't dodge, so he used the Spear of Eternity to block it.
Fist and gun collided, boom—!!!
The Eternal Spear has bent.
The gun barrel bent into an arc, and all the runes were destroyed.
Odin was sent flying backward and crashed into the trunk of the World Tree, creating a large, human-shaped crater.
He fell into the pit, lay on the ground, his mouth full of golden blood.
Pangu withdrew his fist and looked at his hand.
There was a red mark on his fist, from the shaft of the Eternal Spear.
He shook his hand, and the red mark disappeared.
Su Fan stood to the side, watching this scene unfold.
Pangu bent the Spear of Eternity with a single punch and injured Odin.
Odin is at the peak of the eighth level of the Chaos Realm, what level is Pangu at?
The ninth level of the Dao Realm?
Or even higher?
Odin got up from the ground, still holding the Spear of Eternity in his hand, but the spear was bent and unusable.
He threw the gun on the ground and drew a sword from his waist.
The sword is not long, about three feet long, with a black blade and a blood groove on the edge.
The hilt of the sword is engraved with two runes – Victory.
"This is the sword of victory. With this sword, I have slain giants, dragons, and even death itself. Today, I will use it to kill you."
Pangu looked at the sword.
"A fine sword."
Odin thrust his sword at him.
The sword was so fast that Su Fan's eyes couldn't keep up.
But Pangu's eyes followed.
He dodged to the side and reached out to grab the blade.
The blade sliced his palm, and golden blood flowed from the wound, dripping onto the ground.
But he didn't let go.
Odin tried to pull the sword out, but couldn't.
Pangu's hand was like an iron clamp, gripping the sword blade.
Pangu twisted the sword with all his might, and it broke.
The sword of victory broke in two; the tip fell to the ground, while the hilt remained in Odin's hand.
Odin looked at the broken sword in his hand, and the golden light in his single eye dimmed.
He looked up at Pangu.
"What exactly are you?"
Pangu said, "I am Pangu. Pangu who created heaven and earth."
He reached out, grabbed Odin by the neck, and lifted him off the ground.
Odin's legs were dangling in the air, his neck was being choked, and he couldn't breathe.
His face changed from white to red, and from red to purple.
His hand gripped Pangu's wrist, his nails tearing through Pangu's skin, and golden blood seeped from the scratches.
Pangu lifted Odin to his eyes, his blue eyes fixed on Odin's single eye.
"I will spare your life. Go back and tell the other gods that the primordial world is not a place for you. Whoever comes here will die."
He threw Odin out.
Odin flew hundreds of feet away, crashed to the ground, and rolled dozens of times.
He lay on the ground, panting heavily, with a bluish-purple handprint on his neck.
Pangu turned around and looked at Su Fan.
Su Fan looked at Pangu, opened his mouth as if to say something, but couldn't utter a word.
Pangu said, "You have done a good job. The five-colored stones repaired the pillars of heaven, and the Investiture of the Gods repaired the Heavenly Dao. The primordial world is stable. But those gods outside will not give up. They will come again. I cannot hold out for long."
Su Fan asked, "How much longer can you hold on?"
Pangu said, "I don't know. My body has just recovered, and my strength hasn't returned to its peak. I can handle one Odin, two would be tough, and three would be certain death."
Su Fan fell silent.
One Odin is already this difficult to defeat, what about two, three, four, and countless others?
Greek mythology, Japanese mythology, Norse mythology, Egyptian mythology, and Indian mythology—each mythology has a chief god, and each chief god is at least at the eighth level of the Chaos Realm.
Pangu looked at him.
Are you scared?
Su Fan shook his head.
"I'm not afraid. But I don't know how to fight."
Pangu said, "I will teach you."
He reached into his pocket and pulled something out.
It is a stone.
The stone was small, about the size of a palm, and was entirely blue with golden veins on it.
The heart of Pangu.
The stone inside the belly of Mount Buzhou.
"This is my heart. It contains my Dao. The Dao that created heaven and earth. If you integrate it into your body, you will possess my power."
Su Fan looked at the stone but didn't take it.
"And then what happens after it's integrated?"
Pangu said, "You will become Pangu."
Su Fan was stunned.
"To become you?"
Pangu nodded.
"Yes. You will become Pangu. Your body will become Pangu's body, and your Dao will become Pangu's Dao. You will create heaven and earth, you will support the sky and the earth, and after you die, your body will transform into mountains and rivers. You will become the first god of the primordial world."
Su Fan remained silent for a long time.
"Am I still me then?"
Pangu shook his head.
"No. You are Pangu. Su Fan will disappear."
Su Fan didn't speak.
He looked at the blue stone, which seemed to pulsate before him like a heart.
Sun Wukong's voice came from behind.
"Kid, don't answer!"
Su Fan turned around.
Sun Wukong stood behind him, holding the golden cudgel in his hand. He was covered in wounds, but his eyes were bright.
He didn't know when he arrived.
"Great Sage, what brings you here?"
Sun Wukong said, "I was worried about you, so I came along."
Su Fan looked at Sun Wukong, then at the stone in Pangu's hand.
He took a deep breath and turned to look at Pangu.
"Senior, I won't accept."
Pangu looked at him.
Why?
Su Fan said, "I am Su Fan. I am not Pangu. Pangu created the world, Nuwa created humans and mended the sky, Fuxi drew the trigrams, Shennong tasted herbs, the Yellow Emperor ruled the world, Zhuanxu severed the connection between heaven and earth, Emperor Ku established the seasons, Yao and Shun abdicated, and Yu the Great controlled the floods. They are them, and I am me. I don't need to become them to protect the primordial world."
Pangu looked at him.
He smiled.
"Very well. I knew I hadn't misjudged you."
He put the stone back into his bosom.
"If you won't take my heart, I'll keep it. As long as my heart is still here, I won't die. And as long as I don't die, I can help you fight."
Su Fan looked at him.
"Didn't you say that without a heart transplant, he wouldn't last long?"
Pangu said, "If I don't reconnect the heart, my body will slowly recover. Slowly, but it will. If I reconnect the heart, you will become Pangu, and I will disappear. If I don't reconnect the heart, I will live, and you will live. Two against one is better than one against one."
Su Fan nodded.
Pangu turned around and looked at Odin.
Odin has gotten up from the ground, the Spear of Eternity has been retrieved, and the broken sword of the Sword of Victory has also been retrieved.
He sheathed the broken sword back at his waist, slung the curved spear over his shoulder, and looked at Pangu and Su Fan.
"I can't defeat both of you. But I'm not alone."
He looked up at the sky and roared.
The roar was deafening, making the leaves of the World Tree rustle.
The howl echoed throughout the Nine Realms and reached every corner of Asgard.
Soon, a response came from afar.
The first person to arrive was a person.
The man was very tall, half a head taller than Odin.
He was wearing a long red robe and carrying a large axe.
The axe was huge, taller than him.
He had a scar on his face, running from his forehead down to his chin, and his left eye was gone, leaving only a black hole.
His aura was at the early stage of the eighth level of the Chaos Realm.
Tyre.
God of War.
The second person to arrive was also alone.
The man was very fat, with a large belly, wearing a blue robe, and holding a hammer in his hand.
The hammer is small, with a round head and a short handle.
His beard was red, thick and dense, covering half of his face.
His aura indicated he was at the mid-stage of the eighth level of the Chaos Realm.
Sol.
Thor.
The third group to arrive was a group of people.
The leader was a woman, very tall, even taller than Thor.
She wore a long white dress, her golden hair cascaded over her shoulders, and she wore a crown on her head.
She held a sword in her hand; the blade was silver, and a sapphire was set in the hilt.
Her aura was at the peak of the eighth level of the Chaos Realm.
Frigga.
days later.
Odin's wife.
She was followed by a group of people.
There are men and women, old and young.
Some carried swords, some carried bows, and some carried staffs.
Their auras ranged from the fifth to the seventh level of the Chaos Realm.
The Aesir, all twelve Olympian gods, have arrived.
Pangu looked at those people.
"Twelve."
Su Fan looked at those people, calculating in his mind.
Pangu could fight three, but he could only fight one.
There are eight more.
We can't beat them.
Odin stood at the very front, staring at Pangu with his single eye.
"I've said it before, I'm not alone. Twelve against one, you can't win."
As Pangu took a step, another crack appeared in the ground.
The crack extended rapidly toward Odin.
Odin jumped to avoid it, and Thor raised his hammer and slammed it into the ground.
The hammer slammed into the ground—BOOM!
The ground was smashed into a large crater, and the cracking stopped.
Thor looked at Pangu, his mouth below his red beard splitting into a grin.
"You're Pangu? The one who created the world? I want to fight you."
He raised the hammer, which crackled with electricity.
Lightning bolts shot out from the hammer like silver snakes, rushing towards Pangu.
Pangu neither dodged nor evaded.
Lightning struck him, exploding into silver flowers.
The lightning dissipated, and Pangu stood in the same spot, without even a mark left on his body.
Thor paused for a moment.
"you……"
Pangu reached out and grabbed Thor's hammer.
The hammer crackled with electricity in his hand, but it couldn't hurt him.
He snatched the hammer from Thor's hand and turned it over to examine it.
The hammer was engraved with three runes—Mjolnir.
Pangu threw the hammer on the ground and stomped on it.
The hammer was flattened, like a clump of mud.
Runes have been destroyed.
Thor stared at the flattened hammer, his mouth agape beneath his red beard, unable to close.
Odin's expression turned grim.
"Let's go together."
The twelve gods attacked simultaneously.
Odin hurled his spear, the tip of which gleamed with golden light.
Tyr's great axe came down, its shadow like a mountain.
Thor's fists came crashing down, crackling with lightning.
Frigga's longsword thrust forward, its tip gleaming coldly.
The other eight gods also unleashed their unique skills.
Pangu did not retreat.
He struck out with his palm, the palm print as large as a mountain, blocking Odin's spear.
With a single punch, the fist flashed like a battle shadow, smashing Tyr's axe away.
With a single kick, his foot flew like a pillar, sending Thor flying.
He exhaled a breath of green energy, which, like a dragon, sent Frigga flying.
The twelve gods collapsed in three breaths.
Pangu stood still, panting heavily.
His body was trembling, cracks appeared on his bluish skin, and golden blood seeped from the cracks.
His aura dropped from the ninth level of the Dao Realm to the peak of the eighth level.
Su Fan rushed over to support him.
"senior!"
Pangu waved his hand.
"It's alright. My body couldn't handle it if I used too much strength."
Odin got up from the ground, covered in wounds, the golden light in his single eye dimming and almost extinguished.
He looked at Pangu, a trace of golden blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.
"You...you can't hold on any longer."
Pangu did not speak.
He straightened up, and the cracks on his body were slowly healing, but the healing process was very slow.
Odin looked at Pangu, then at Sufan.
He raised the Eternal Spear, its tip aimed at Pangu.
"The final shot. This shot, I'm betting all my strength on."
He threw the gun.
The gun flew from his hand like a golden lightning bolt, three times faster than the previous shot.
Pangu reached out to grab it.
His hand grasped the tip of the gun, but the tip passed right through his palm and continued flying forward.
Pangu grabbed the gun barrel with his other hand, and the gun stopped.
The tip of the gun stopped in front of his chest, just an inch from his heart.
Pangu looked down at the tip of the spear, then at his own palm.
His palm was pierced by the spear tip, and golden blood flowed from the wound, dripping onto the ground.
He pulled the gun out of his hand and threw it on the ground.
As Odin watched this scene, the golden light in his single eye completely vanished.
He knelt on the ground, panting heavily.
Pangu looked at him.
You lost.
Odin did not speak.
Pangu turned around and looked at Su Fan.
"Let's go. Back to the Primordial World."
Su Fan supported Pangu, with Sun Wukong following behind.
The three of them walked towards the teleportation portal.
Odin's voice came from behind.
"Envoy of the Gods, I will return."
Su Fan didn't turn around.
