With the help of Phoenix Fox, the makeshift adventure team took Ginny back to the girls' restroom.
Sir Nicholas was still standing by the sink in the washroom. He shouted excitedly, "Great! You're all alive! I'll go and inform Professor Dumbledore right away!"
Having said that, Sir Nicholas's pearly white body passed through the wall of the washroom and disappeared.
Having calmed down, Myrtle stared wide-eyed at the group who had returned safely, and said to Harry with a disappointed look, "You're still alive."
Belvina had no time to deal with Myrtle, and led everyone out of the girls' restroom, following Phoenix Fox to Professor McGonagall's office.
The sound of a woman crying came from the office; it was Mrs. Weasley's voice.
"I'm not going in. It looks like there are a lot of people inside," Bassheda said abruptly, waving her hand as she walked away from the office.
Paul, the alchemy professor, also sounded the urge to back out. His excuse was even more grandiose: "I'm going to return the roosters to Hagrid now; they were the heroes of today."
Having said that, Paul Bernard gave no one a chance to stop him, and left with his tattered clothes and the leather bag that held the rooster.
Belvina sighed. If possible, she didn't want to go in, didn't want to hear Mrs. Weasley crying, and didn't want to hear the couple's thanks, because it was too much trouble.
But both Bassheda and Paul ran away, leaving only Belvina as the only adult in the temporary adventure party.
Helpless, Belvina knocked on the door, which was immediately opened. Professor McGonagall stood in the doorway, her hand on her chest, breathing heavily.
Mrs. Weasley ran to the door with a speed that belied her size, and hugged Ginny tightly, as if afraid of losing her beloved little daughter again.
The heartwarming scene made Belvina feel a little uneasy. Before she could say goodbye, Mr. Weasley ran over, repeatedly expressing his gratitude.
Belvina walked into the office in a daze, sat down in the armchair in front of the fireplace in a daze, and listened to Mr. Weasley's endless thanks in a daze.
Standing before the fireplace with a smile on his face, Dumbledore, encouraged by him and Professor McGonagall, recounted in detail everything that had happened in the Chamber of Secrets: the Basilisk, Tom Riddle, and the old diary.
As she listened, Belvina gradually drifted into a daze, letting the words go in one ear and out the other, her eyes vacant and her pupils unfocused.
It wasn't until she felt someone tap her on the shoulder that Belvina's wandering soul returned to her body. She looked around blankly, finally fixing her gaze on Dumbledore.
"Sixteen-year-old Voldemort left this diary, intending to guide those who came after him to the Chamber of Secrets and release the Basilisk," Dumbledore said gently. "Unfortunately, Ginny was bewitched by him and deceived by him."
As Dumbledore spoke, he turned the pages of the damp, charred paper.
Then, Dumbledore looked at Belvina, who had just come to her senses, and gently tapped the diary in his hand with his long fingers.
Seeing this, Belvina nodded subtly, confirming Dumbledore's guess; she also believed that Tom...
Riddle's diary is a Horcrux.
Following the locket, a second Horcrux appeared. The discovery of the old diary means that Voldemort began making Horcruxes during his student days, implying that he may have made even more.
In the slightly crowded office, Mrs. Weasley held Ginny tightly in her arms, and the two women wept together. Mr. Weasley wanted to scold Ginny for being careless and disobedient, but seeing his daughter's pitiful appearance, he couldn't bring himself to say those words.
Fortunately, there was Dumbledore, who diverted the Weasleys' attention with another, more important matter.
"Miss Weasley should go to the school hospital immediately; it's going to be a painful ordeal for her," Dumbledore said. "The school won't punish her either; many wizards older and more experienced than her have been fooled by Voldemort's sweet talk."
Dumbledore strode to the door, opened it without a word, and said, "Miss Weasley needs bed rest right now, and perhaps a hot cup of chocolate milk would help improve her mood."
'
Mrs. Weasley led Ginny out, with Mr. Weasley following behind, still looking very distraught. Then Dumbledore said to Professor McGonagall, "Minerva, I think today is something to celebrate. Everyone is safe and sound, and the legend of the Chamber of Secrets has been dispelled. What do you think?"
"Okay, I'll arrange it right away," Professor McGonagall said decisively, and quickly walked out of the office.
In the blink of an eye, the once crowded office was now only occupied by Dumbledore, Belvina, and Harry.
"Oh, I just remembered I have something urgent to attend to. The minister is waiting for my reply!" Belvina stood up. "I'll take my leave now, please excuse me." She said as she walked towards the door.
Standing at the door, Dumbledore said, "If Cornelius is interested, he can take the snake skin from the Chamber of Secrets."
"I will convey your message as I say." Belvina nodded and stepped out the door.
That's keen observation. Dumbledore clearly wanted to talk to Harry alone, and Belvina, without waiting to be sent away, made an excuse to leave on her own.
Besides, Belvina wasn't really making excuses; she genuinely needed to reply to Cornelius Fudge to prevent him from dying on the job from worrying too much about Hogwarts.
As for the snake skin that Dumbledore mentioned, Belvina didn't think the headmaster wanted to give it to the wizarding head. He was just reminding Belvina not to mention the volcano to Fudge for the time being.
Belvina stretched as she stood outside the office door. She was now torn between going back to the lounge to reply to Fudge or taking a shower.
As Belvina weighed the two matters, deciding which was more important, she headed toward the nearest staircase.
Just as they reached the stairwell, the unwelcome figure appeared: the ever-present Lucius Malfoy was back at school.
Lucius Malfoy was paler than usual, his expression furious, and he also saw Belvina at the top of the stairs.
Behind Malfoy, the house-elf Dobby followed cautiously, his body wrapped in bandages, clearly having been badly beaten.
"Hey, did you bring the suspension order this time?" Belvina said enthusiastically and cheerfully. Seeing Malfoy's sour face, all her fatigue vanished.
"That's none of your business," Lucius Malfoy said coldly. "Some people have taken it upon themselves to return to Hogwarts, and they must pay the price for that."
Belvina sneered, her tone sarcastic, "If I were you, I wouldn't think that way. I'd stay far away. There's nothing new under the sun. You know what you've done."
As she spoke, Belvina looked behind her at the panicked Dobby, the house-elf who was bent over and didn't even dare to lift his head, his body wrapped in bandages trembling uncontrollably.
"What kind of look is that?" Lucius Malfoy questioned. One can be cowardly, but one cannot lose face.
Standing atop the stairs, Belvina looked down at Lucius Malfoy with a contemptuous gaze that stung him, reminding him of what had happened that day.
"The way you look at trash," Belvina said matter-of-factly. "You can only swing your knife at the weaker ones, how pathetic."
As she spoke, Belvina descended two steps. Just as she raised her arm, a tense-looking Lucius Malfoy immediately took a step back.
They're stubborn and concerned with saving face, but their actions speak volumes.
"Don't be afraid," Belvina said softly. "I'm not you, and I don't take pleasure in bullying the weak."
After saying that, Belvina reached out and patted Lucius Malfoy on the shoulder twice. She continued, "Just now, I went to the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin, and guess what I saw?"
Lucius Malfoy's grey eyes blazed with fury, but he dared not draw his wand again and could only take another step back.
"I saw the Basilisk, the Basilisk left behind by Salazar Slytherin, and I killed it," Belvina continued. "And guess what else I encountered?"
The rage in Lucius Malfoy's eyes vanished completely. He turned his gaze away, not daring to meet Belvina's eyes, as if those dark eyes had also acquired the power of the basilisk.
"I found a diary, Tom Riddle's diary. Don't tell me you don't know who Tom Riddle is."
I'll be very disappointed.
After saying that, Belvina drifted away, leaving Lucius Malfoy standing there, dumbfounded and like a wooden chicken.
