Chapter 15 Little Sunflower's Mom's Class
Chapter 15 Little Sunflower's Mom's Class
After crying, Draco Malfoy gradually calmed down.
After venting her frustrations, Belvina Black returned to her usual self, no longer exuding a motherly aura.
The two were finally able to communicate calmly.
"Draco, that's not how you make friends," Belvina said earnestly. "The premise of making friends is equality and respect. Like Crabbe and Goyle, those two idiots can only be your lackeys, not your friends. They only listen to you to curry favor with your dead father."
Draco nodded as if he understood, though he was often scolded mercilessly. In his heart, the young Malfoy was still close to Belvina.
The reason is simple: with Belvina, Draco never received orders; he received valuable advice from an elder, not instructions on what he had to do.
"So what kind of person is a friend?"
"True friends don't care about your family background or your status, and they might not even be around you often, but when you need them, you'll find they're always there," Belvina said. "You might only meet one such friend in your entire life."
Have you ever met a friend like this?
Belvina gazed at the receding scenery outside the window and said with a smile, "I think I've met Draco. She's at Hogwarts, and she's always been by my side."
Completely bewildered, Draco scratched his chin. He was starting to lose track of the occasional Belvina babbling incoherently.
"What should I do if I still want to be friends with Potter?" Draco asked. "But I really don't like the Weasley boy, the pure-blood traitor."
"Draco!"
"sorry."
The apology was delivered incredibly quickly, even faster than Nimbus 2000.
Belvina frowned. She knew that Draco's insistence on purebloods couldn't be changed with just a few words, and she hadn't considered forcibly changing Draco's mindset—that was unrealistic.
People can't teach people, but experience can teach people; they'll learn it in one go.
"Draco, you can insist on the superiority of pure blood, but it's best not to spread it around," Belvina said. "A smart person knows what to do and what not to do."
Belvina continued, "Look at Mr. Longbottom—of course, I'm not suggesting you follow his example. Mr. Longbottom is also a pure-blood wizard, but he doesn't constantly talk about his pure blood, nor does he wear his prejudice on his sleeve. Your behavior will only bring you unnecessary trouble and create enemies for yourself. Do you think your father hasn't had enough trouble?"
"But wasn't Slytherin himself like that? He was also a staunch advocate of pure-blood superiority," Draco argued softly, though his voice lacked conviction.
A paranoid old madman!
"Salazar Slytherin lived a thousand years ago, and we live now." Belvina rubbed her temples. She shouldn't be discussing such serious matters with a child. "Times have changed, and many things have changed. Even a thousand years ago, Slytherin couldn't gain the approval of the other three First Men."
Upon hearing this, Draco's eyebrows furrowed into a knot. He scratched his head and touched his ears, like a restless little monkey.
"Draco, don't let anyone's thoughts influence you, not even your parents' or my thoughts," Belvina continued. "Listen for yourself, observe for yourself, and think for yourself. Don't let anyone bind you."
As she spoke, Belvina took her briefcase and switched the combination lock to another mode.
"Here you go. Hogwarts isn't like home; if you need anything, just write and buy it." Belvina took out a small bag of Galleons and pushed it across the table. "Don't cause trouble, but don't be afraid of trouble either. Got it?"
Draco deftly pocketed the purse without a word of politeness, clearly indicating that this wasn't the first time he'd received pocket money from Belvina.
"Get lost. Seeing you two annoys everyone else." Belvina waved her hand impatiently. "Remember to write to Cici often, so she won't keep thinking about you. Anyway, it's all accommodation. What's the difference between Hogwarts and Durmstrang?"
Draco nodded emphatically, grinned, and walked out of the cubicle.
At the door of the cubicle, Draco saw Neville Longbottom, who had been waiting foolishly outside.
In the past, Draco would have definitely given Neville a disdainful back of the head, and might even have made a sarcastic remark. But after being reprimanded by Belvina, Draco put aside his sarcastic thoughts and prepared to leave quietly.
After taking only two or three steps, Draco suddenly turned back. He looked at the round-faced crybaby in front of him, nodded awkwardly to Neville, and then left without looking back.
Is he greeting me?
Neville Longbottom was like Louis XVI in the Place de la Concorde, completely baffled.
Fortunately, the round-faced crybaby had no intention of fighting amongst himself. He knocked on the door and returned to his cubicle, obediently continuing to be a quail.
Although he remained silent, Neville's behavior was quite different from before. He would occasionally steal glances at Belvina, his innocent eyes filled with curiosity.
What do you mean by "energetic and vibrant"? Aren't they just a bunch of problem children? The Hogwarts Express might as well be renamed Baby Bus.
Belvina sighed inwardly, and without looking up, asked, "Mr. Longbottom, you've been sitting there for no more than five minutes, and in those five minutes you've been glancing at me eleven times. So, what do you want to know?"
Facing a bunch of kids who hadn't even grown their first hairs yet, Belvina felt a stifling sense of helplessness. If Remus Lupin dared to blatantly peek like that, Belvina would definitely smash his head in.
"Professor Black, do you know my parents?" Neville asked timidly, his cautious manner unlike that of the Longbottoms' child.
“I’m sorry, I don’t know them. I’ve only seen them once in St. Mungo,” Belvina said. “They are heroes, Mr. Longbottom, true heroes.”
Parents are a child's first teachers and their heroes. But for Neville, the Longbottoms could be anyone's hero, except his.
"Heroes, huh..." Neville turned his head to look out the window. "Professor Black, don't you think their actions are foolish?"
Belvina looked up. This boy, who would cry his heart out if his pet was lost, didn't shed a single tear at this moment. His pretense of being a man was inexplicably heartbreaking.
"Of course, it's incredibly stupid. They could feign cooperation and then seize the opportunity to escape," Belvina said casually. "Navie, if they do that, are they still the same people you know?"
Belvina's many years at the Ministry of Magic were not wasted; she has a good eye for people.
Belvina could tell that, though he didn't say it, Neville deeply respected his parents and was proud of them. Otherwise, given Neville's timid and cowardly nature, how could he dare to treat the stranger Belvina coldly, or even bluntly say that Black was a Slytherin?
"I don't know," Neville mumbled incoherently. "I don't remember what they used to look like."
Ugh……
Belvina sighed inwardly. It was another debt owed by the Black family. Why was she so unlucky? First she ran into Remus Lupin, and a month later she ran into Neville Longbottom.
Belvina couldn't help but wonder if she was ill, because she was actually starting to look forward to her next victim.
I wonder who the next villain will be, will it be dear Regulus?
Time slipped away unnoticed, perhaps ten minutes, perhaps half an hour, or perhaps even longer, before the cubicle door was opened once again.
Hermione Granger, sporting a head of fluffy curly hair, walked into the cubicle with a satisfied expression. Her eyes had regained their previous sparkle, and it was unclear where the young girl had found her confidence again.
As soon as she entered, Hermione keenly sensed the tense atmosphere in the cubicle. She looked suspiciously at Belvina, then at Neville, who was admiring the view, her doubts lingering in her heart, wanting to ask but not daring to.
Hermione, who seemed to want to say something but hesitated, turned into a rattle-drum again, her gaze shifting back and forth between the other two.
I'll only be gone for a little while, what happened to those two?
