Hogwarts: Who made her a professor?

Chapter 181 Impossible Speculation

Chapter 181 Impossible Speculation

Chapter 181 Impossible Speculation

On the day Sirius Black escaped from prison, Connery Fudge rushed to Azkaban late that night.

The guards told Fudge that Sirius had been repeatedly saying the same thing in his dreams lately: he was at Hogwarts.

No one knew what Sirius Black really meant, so the minister could only assume that "he" referred to Harry Potter.

Sirius Black, who is mentally unstable, may want to find Harry, who is studying at Hogwarts, and kill him so that Vader can make a comeback.

The Ministry of Magic's subsequent mobilization and deployment revolved around this statement, with heavy troops guarding all roads leading to Hogwarts and setting up multiple defenses around the school.

But Sirius Black was like a slippery eel; the Ministry of Magic often got news of him but could never catch him. Instead, they were led around by the nose by Sirius Black.

Media outlets such as The Daily Prophet never reported on this matter. Connelly Fudge wanted to cover it up, fearing that if Sirius's true purpose were revealed to the public, it would cause widespread panic.

A nation is not about good or evil, but about order or chaos.

Connelly Fudge could even tolerate Sirius's prison break, but he couldn't stand the chaos Sirius created.

However, Fudge's attempt to cover it up only worked on the general public; those who needed to know already knew, and it was impossible to keep it a secret.

Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall both knew that Sirius's true goal was Hogwarts.

Belvina knew this, and she also knew that Sirius's primary target was definitely not Harry.

Many people believed that Sirius Black, who had been imprisoned for twelve years, had long since lost his mind, but Belvina knew very well that although Sirius Black was a bit more eccentric than before, his mental state was generally normal.

The problems of extremism, obsession, strong-willedness, and stubbornness were not caused by Azkaban and the Dementors, but were the consequences of inbreeding within the Black family.

So, if he's at Hogwarts, then who exactly is at Hogwarts?

First, we can rule out Harry, and the newcomer Lupin probably isn't either. James Potter is long dead, so who else could it be?

The answer is obvious: Peter Petitrou, also known as Peter the Little Star.

A man who was known to the public as long dead, a hero posthumously awarded the Order of Merlin, First Class.

This was an almost impossible answer, an answer so outrageous it couldn't be more outrageous, yet it was the only possibility Belvina could think of.

In the group of four led by James Potter, Lupin was certainly not the keeper of the Loyal Heart Charm.

He is a werewolf, with a special identity, and is not suitable to be the keeper of secrets.

Based on my understanding of Sirius Black, he shouldn't be the one keeping secrets, and his subsequent actions are illogical.

On the night of the incident, he went to Godric's Hollow, but instead of robbing the naked Harry, he lent Hagrid his flying motorcycle. After that, he publicly killed another good friend, Peter, in the middle of the street, and also sent twelve Muggles away.

When Cornelius Fudge, then deputy director of the Department of Magical Accidents and Disasters, arrived at the scene with his team, they found Sirius Black standing in the ruins, laughing maniacally, while Peter Pettigrew was left with only his blood-stained robe and a few fragments.

Based on testimony from Muggles at the scene (whose memories were subsequently erased), twenty law enforcement officers arrested Sirius Black and sentenced him to life imprisonment without trial.

If neither Lupin nor Sirius is the one keeping the secret about the hiding place, then the only one who can keep the secret is Peter Pettigrew, the unseen Peter Pedirou.

If we assume that Peter Pettigrew was the Potters' confidant, Sirius Black's illogical behavior would seem to make sense.

Just as Belvina was brainstorming, Bassheda next to her shook her arm vigorously.

Bassheda asked, "What's wrong? Why are you suddenly spacing out? Did something come to mind?"

Belvina leaned close to Bathsheda's ear and whispered, "Do you think it's possible that Sirius Black wasn't the Potters' secret agent at all?"

Before the Halloween pranks even started, Bassheda was already startled twice.

Ancient Rune quickly pulled Belvina aside, and the two left the bustling entrance hall and came to the corner leading to the castle's underground.

"I know you think Sirius is innocent, but," Bassheda said softly, "it was Professor Dumbledore himself who confirmed that Black was the Potters' confidant. You're the one who told me this."

“That’s right.” Belvina also lowered her voice, carefully listening for any sounds around her. “What if Dumbledore didn’t know the truth either, and Potter deliberately made him think Sirius was the Secret Keeper?”

Bathsheda gasped, covering her mouth in shock. "Merlin's beard! Are you crazy, or is James Potter crazy?! Why keep this from Dumbledore?!"

Belvina thought for a moment and said, "If I need to hide and establish a 'Loyalty Charm' for my hiding place, who should I choose as my confidant?"

"Of course it's me!" Bathsheda said without hesitation. "I'm the only person you trust. Dumbledore is half of it, and Paul is half of it too."

Belvina remained noncommittal. She could trust Dumbledore and Paul Bernard on some matters, but when it came to matters of life and death, Belvina only trusted Bathsheda Bablin.

"You mean Sirius isn't suited to be a Secret Agent!" Bassheda exclaimed, suddenly understanding Belvina's meaning.

Everyone naturally assumed that the Potters' secret keeper could only be Sirius Black, or possibly Dumbledore.

“That’s right,” Belvina said. “The person who keeps a secret must keep the secret that he has a secret.”

“Yes, if Sirius is the Secret Keeper, then this Secret Keeper is too obvious,” Bathsheda said thoughtfully. “To find out where the Potters are hiding, just find Sirius. As long as he’s alive, there’s always a way to get him to talk.”

"That's it. Sirius's existence is too high-profile to be kept a secret," Belvina said. "The Dark Lord will stop at nothing to capture him and interrogate him about Potter's whereabouts."

Bassheda frowned in thought and said, "You mean, Sirius is just a figurehead in name only?"

The real person keeping the secret is someone else entirely. But who could it be?

"Peter Pediru," Belvina whispered in Bassheda's ear, "with Sirius standing on the stage attracting everyone's attention, who would notice the unassuming Peter following behind him?"

Ignoring the tickling sensation in her ears, Bassheda covered her mouth in shock again; the name was simply too bizarre!

Immediately afterwards, Bassheda pulled Belvina away again, pushed her against the wall, and asked seriously, "You haven't mentioned your guess to anyone else, have you?"

Belvina thought for a moment and replied, "I remember mentioning that Sirius might have been framed, and I also seemed to have some suspicions about the Secret Service, but I've never mentioned anything about Peter to anyone."

"That's good. Don't tell anyone else," Bassheda said cautiously. "Everyone thinks Peter is dead and was even posthumously awarded a medal. Who would accept your absurd guess?"

Bassheda added worriedly, "You'll be sent to St. Mungo, dear."

This speculation is so incredible that almost no one would believe it, especially the Ministry of Magic, which awards the Order of Merlin.

Besides, Belvina is Sirius's younger sister, so no one would believe her if she said anything; everyone would just think she was deliberately fabricating lies. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone," Belvina said. "So far, there's no evidence to support my speculation, ah—except for the fact that she's not found."

According to the Ministry of Magic's old case files, a deep crater was blown into the middle of the street where the incident occurred, so deep that even the sewers cracked open. Houses were lying everywhere, Muggles were crying and screaming, while Sirius Black stood there laughing.

What aroused Belvina's suspicion was that the bodies of the affected Muggles were still intact, but Peter Pettigrew's body was gone, leaving only a blood-stained robe and some fragments.

Besides, does a wizard really need to go through all that trouble to kill someone? A killing curse would suffice, so why blow up half a street?

For a moment, Belvina didn't know where to begin her suspicions; no matter how you looked at it, something seemed amiss.

"Promise me you won't act rashly until you have solid evidence to support your speculation," Bassheda said seriously, pulling Belvina's hand tightly.

“I know better than anyone how absurd this is that I wonder if I’m going crazy,” Belvina said, trying to sound casual. “He’s at Hogwarts, which means Peter Pedyru might be hiding in the school.”

Upon hearing this, Bassheda's expression turned solemn. The ancient castle, which had stood for thousands of years, contained too many secrets, and finding Peter Pettigrew, who had already died, was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

"Ever since I met you, I feel like I'm getting madder every day," Bassheda said helplessly. "I actually believe Peter is still alive."

Belvina suddenly raised her hand and stroked Bassheda's smooth, long hair with a smile.

This should have been a heartwarming scene, but Belvina's smile revealed a hint of lewdness.
