Hogwarts: Who made her a professor?

Chapter 272, 3 letters

Chapter 272, 3 letters

Chapter 272 Three Letters

Bertha Joggins, a goddess in Belvina's eyes, is also a synonym for troublemaker.

She was a completely mindless witch who loved to meddle in other people's business, and sometimes complained about others and even spread rumors.

After graduating from Hogwarts, she worked for the Daily Prophet for a while before joining the Ministry of Magic, where she was transferred from one department to another.

The impression Jorkins left on the rest of the department was that she was forgetful, absent-minded, and prone to misplacing things. Her existence seemed to be all about messing up everything in sight.

Overall, Bertha Jorkins was a terrible woman who caused more trouble than many people do in their entire lives.

Therefore, Belvina disliked Joggins, and even somewhat hated him.

Upon learning of Bertha Joggins' disappearance, Belvina, like everyone else, naturally assumed that she was not missing and that she would return.

Because of Joggins' forgetfulness and her not-so-bright mind, everyone thought she might just be lost or had forgotten the return time.

However, a whole summer passed, and the forgetful Bertha Jorkins still hadn't returned to the Ministry of Magic.

That's a bit unreasonable. Even if she has a terrible memory, there should be a limit. It's impossible for her to completely forget that she has to go to work.

Moreover, Belvina had used her position to inquire through others that Bertha Jokins had left Albania long ago.

Albania, the land of the fortified eagles, is a magical country that single-handedly blacklisted the entire world.

Belvina couldn't understand why British wizards always went to Albany.

Quirinas Quirrell is like that, and so is Bertha Jorkins. Who's in that place anyway?!

Forget it, I don't want to think about it anymore. Belvina sometimes really can't understand the thought process of British wizards. I should just think about that awful Bertha Joggins.

Based on current information, Bertha Joggins first visited her cousin in Albania, then her aunt, before returning to the UK.

From this point on, everyone lost contact with Jorgins, unable to determine whether she had returned home or where she had gone.

As if the world has evaporated.

In Belvina's view, this situation meant that Jorkins was probably in grave danger; perhaps he had been kidnapped on his way home, or perhaps he had been killed.

So the question is, what was the reason for hurting Bertha Jorkins?

Why would someone target a middle-aged woman who has accomplished nothing, is dull-witted, and has a terrible memory?

Perhaps it was a stroke of inspiration, or perhaps it was a sudden realization, but Belvina felt as if she had found the first key point: why Bertha Joggins had disappeared.

With this in mind, Belvina's restless heart gradually calmed down, and she began to make plans for the future.

The most urgent task is to ensure the smooth running of the three-way championship and that no unforeseen events occur during the event.

Secondly, thoroughly investigate the disappearance of Bertha Joggins and try to find out the cause of her disappearance, whether it was an accident or premeditated.

At the same time, we must guard against potential dangers within the Ministry of Magic, such as Barty Crouch, Ludo Bagman, and of course, McNeil and his gang.

In addition, there was another thing Belvina needed to pay special attention to: news about Voldemort.

Whether it's a comeback or a triumphant return, Voldemort's return seems unstoppable. As long as he "exists," he is destined to unleash a bloodbath.

Given this, Belvina wanted to take control of the situation; she didn't want to be led by the nose and miss her chance.

The warmth from the fireplace had dissipated sometime earlier. Belvina slowly got up, rubbing her sore and numb legs with both hands.

After a while, she went to her desk, found paper and pen, and began to write a letter with flowing, elegant strokes.

The first letter was addressed to Sirius Black and Lupin.

Regarding Bertha Jorkins' disappearance, Belvina needs the two of them to travel to Albania in person.

Since these two guys were just idling around at Place Grimmauld, they might as well go and take a stroll in that country that blacklists the whole world.

The second letter was written to Bob Gordon.

Belvina needed him to investigate Bertha Jorkins's relationships within the department, who she was on good terms with, who she didn't get along with, what she said, and what she did.

If you want to investigate departmental matters, it's naturally best to have someone from within the department; no one is more suitable than Bob Gordon.

The third letter was written to a friend who didn't like to talk—Saul Crocker of the Department of Mysteries.

After doing all this, Belvina got up again, put on her coat, walked out of the office, and headed towards the owl hut.

The Owl Hut is located on the top floor of the west tower of the castle, the same west tower where Sirius Black was temporarily imprisoned last time. It is home to hundreds of owls.

Belvina walked through the corridor, past the junction of the castle and the tower, and up the narrow spiral staircase until she arrived at the Owl's Hut.

It was a round stone room, very cold and damp, with a draft blowing through it. There were no windows in the walls, and the floor was covered with straw, owl droppings, and leftover rat bones.

Belvina continued uphill and came to a perch.

A row of owls were fast asleep there, representing all kinds of species, some as small as sparrows and others as large as eagles.

Belvina didn't have her own owl, nor did she have any pets like cats or dogs; she didn't like taking care of such small animals.

Therefore, she could only choose the school's owl, or borrow someone else's owl without the owner's permission.

Belvina's first target was a snow-white snow leopard named Hedwig.

She tied the letter she wrote to Sirius to the snow raven's leg, and Hedwig cried out twice before flapping her wings and flying away.

Incidentally, this snow raven named Hedwig was Harry's pet.

Next, Belvina chose a small, gray owl.

The tiny creature, about the size of a palm, is named Zhu Weiqiong and is Ron's owl. However, Ron usually calls it Piglet.

The little creature chirped and jumped up and down on the perch, seemingly tireless like a perpetual motion machine. Belvina struggled to tie the letter and watched it leave the shed.

In her last letter to Saul Crocker, Belvina didn't borrow anyone else's owl and simply picked a tawny one.

The tawny owl proudly stretched out one leg, its round, amber eyes staring at the human in front of it, clearly displeased that someone had disturbed its sleep.

And so, all three letters were sent out, and Belvina hurried down from the shed.

The owl hut is practically uninhabitable. Not only does it smell terrible, but the floor is also slippery with droppings, and you might accidentally trigger your bladder stabilization system.

Falling down isn't scary, since no one will see it anyway, but getting covered in owl droppings is absolutely unacceptable!

Belvina wears a different outfit every day and has her hair always styled smooth and shiny. What is she after? Isn't it all about looking glamorous?

That evening, Belvina, having changed her clothes, went down to the first floor of the castle. The open space in the foyer was crowded with students, who jostled each other as they passed through the double doors of the auditorium.

Belvina, who was at the back of the line, moved slowly with the group while eavesdropping on the discussions of the students around her.

"What bad luck, my worst fear is going to happen in June."

"What's this compared to the person who will leave us forever this year!"

Without even needing to ask, it was clear that the two people speaking had just returned from the North Tower and had just finished a prophecy class.

Sybil Trelawney makes a prediction every year that a student will die, and so far, she has never been right.

"Snape, can't someone come and kick him out of school?"

"You're dreaming, buddy. Compared to Gryffindor, we're lucky enough."

There's no need to ask anymore; Snape's last name has appeared, so he must have sprayed venom in class again.

Aside from the Slytherin students, it's not common to find students who like Professor Snape. Who would like a professor who's so biased? "He's so cool, nobody's cooler than him!"

"He's absolutely awesome! I've never had a class like this before!"

"Think about what he used to do; no one is more suitable for this course than him!"

The students were talking loudly, discussing their recently concluded class with great enthusiasm.

Their comments left Belvina completely bewildered. Could Hogwarts professors really be described as "super cool"?

"Professor Moody used to be an Auror, specializing in dealing with dark wizards. He's a professional!"

"That's right, I heard that he personally captured half of the dark wizards in Azkaban!"

Wait a minute!

What is that?

Alastor Moody is awesome?

Belvina initially doubted that she had misheard; what was so cool about a disabled but determined former Auror?

Just then, Belvina followed the crowd into the auditorium and walked along the aisle to the faculty section at the far end.

Along the way, Belvina frequently heard the name "Moody," and every student who mentioned his name praised his courses.

The last professor to be praised by students was the furry Remus Lupin, who conquered everyone except Slytherin with his cross-dressing version of Snape.

At this moment, Alastor Moody had won over the students in just one day, and even Slytherin did not speak ill of him.

It has to be said that Belvina felt a surge of admiration for her.

"Judging from your puzzled look, I know you definitely don't understand why Moody is so popular with students."

No sooner had Belvina sat down than Bassheda, sitting next to her, eagerly began to share what she had seen and heard.

"You'd never guess what Moody taught in class. Honestly, I've never seen anyone as reckless as him."

As Bassheda cut her food, she chattered on and on, her eyes occasionally glancing at Alastor at the other end of the faculty seating area.

Moody's.

"He actually showed the Unforgivable Curse to his students in class. Do you think he's really lost his mind?"

As she spoke, Bassheda tapped her head with her finger. She continued, "Won't the Ministry of Magic give him trouble for showing the Unforgivable Charm to a student?"

Upon hearing this, Belvina looked at Moody on the other side, also wanting to know what Moody was thinking, and even more so, how Dumbledore was feeling at this moment.

"I don't know if he has mental issues, but I find his teaching content surprisingly consistent with his usual style," Belvina said. "Don't you think so?"

Bassheda paused her eating, thought for a moment, and then nodded.

"Now that you mention it, it's true," said Bassheda. "Even if he set the auditorium on fire, I would still think it was reasonable."

Seemingly sensing the gazes of Belvina and Bassheda, Moody on the other side raised his head, his bright blue magic eyes immediately looking over.
