Hogwarts: Who made her a professor?

Chapter 309 In Hogsmeade

Chapter 309 In Hogsmeade

Chapter 309 In Hogsmeade

Although Hogsmeade in November lacks the pure white of winter, its thatched-roof cottages and shops are still breathtakingly beautiful.

The village was teeming with people, including Hogwarts students who came to relax and all sorts of people from the magical world.

Although these magical individuals came from all over the country and from all walks of life, they all looked at the badges that most of the students wore on their chests.

These people were all annoyed by the badges worn by the students and couldn't understand what was wrong with Hogwarts.

Some students wore badges that read: Support Cedric Diggory, a true warrior of Hogwarts.

Some students even had badges on their chests that clearly read: "Potter Stinky Shit".

This scene was also witnessed by Belvina and Bassheda, who had just entered the village, but neither of them stopped the student's outrageous behavior.

"Once the first project starts, these badges won't be so ubiquitous," Bassheda said confidently.

"My pesky great-grandfather was right about one thing: young people always think they're right," Belvina said. "Weak, pathetic, but arrogant."

Recently, Hogwarts students have been verbally attacking Harry and wearing insulting badges, all because of unfairness.

The rapidly growing anti-Hayist faction in the school was expressing their grievances, on behalf of Cedric, and also on behalf of themselves.

Why can 14-year-old Harry become the fourth hero, and why can't they? This is not fair!

Those who oppose Harry never considered why he became a hero, nor what he would face after becoming a hero. All they thought about was unfairness.

Faced with this terrible situation, from Headmaster Dumbledore to Administrator Filch, not a single faculty or staff member stepped forward to correct it, allowing the anti-Harry faction to grow and expand within the school.

What the other professors were thinking was unknown for the time being, but Belvina's idea was simple: since she couldn't control them anyway, she might as well let them run wild. Once these people realized their own limitations, the farce would naturally come to an end.

As Phineas Nigellus Black said, young people are always self-righteous and think they are absolutely right.

Even if the professors intervene, the students, who believe they are right, will stubbornly think that the professors are favoring Harry, which may even incite their rebellious feelings and lead them to do something even more outrageous.

Only when the first event of the Triwizard Tournament officially begins, and when the anti-Harry faction learns what dangers the warriors will face, will these people be able to re-examine themselves and Harry.

Belvina and Bassheda weaved through the throngs of tourists along the village’s main road toward the famous Three Broomsticks tavern.

Before Belvina could even extend her hand, the tavern door was flung open with a crash, and the unscrupulous reporter Rita Skeeter scurried out.

Rita Skeeter, fleeing like a wolf and fox, no longer cared about her image. Her jeweled glasses were perched crookedly on her face, her crocodile handbag tucked into her bosom, and she escaped as fast as she could, using both hands and feet.

Rita Skeeter's colleague, a photographer from The Daily Prophet, was the same. The photographer, carrying a black camera, ran even faster than Skeeter and disappeared in a flash, his speed disproportionate to his size.

"What's going on?" Belvina joked. "It's like there's a serial killer hiding in the tavern."

"Maybe they really have run into a serial killer." Bassheda pushed open the tavern door. "Look, isn't the serial killer standing right here?"

The Three Broomsticks tavern was packed with people, mostly Hogwarts students, as well as many other people from all walks of life in the wizarding world, all gathered here to enjoy the delicious wine.

At this moment, the two people standing at the entrance of the Three Broomsticks Tavern were clearly not students, judging from their age.

"Did you see Rita Skeeter run away just now?" Sirius asked. "She was really fast!"

"If Mr. Gufy had half the speed of Skeeter, he wouldn't have been beaten to a pulp by you," Lupin said with a laugh.

Poor Mr. Gufair.

Belvina and Bassheda entered the crowded tavern.

"You didn't lay a hand on Rita Skeeter, did you?" Belvina asked.

"I didn't have time," Sirius said regretfully. "I wanted to have a good talk with her, but she ran away as soon as she saw me. 'You just beat up the editor of the Daily Prophet, do you think she wouldn't run away when she sees you?' Lupin said, 'Rita Skeeter isn't stupid.'

The four of them talked as they found an empty seat in the tavern.

Belvina and Bassheda stayed at the table to reserve seats, while Sirius and Lupin went to the bar to buy drinks.

After a while, Sirius and Lupin returned, each carrying a large tray containing drinks, food, and three bottles of butterbeer.

Sirius took a sip of whiskey and remarked, "Ms. Rosmerta is as beautiful as ever. No, she has a more mature charm than before."

"I remember when we were in school, you and James used to sneak peeks at her all the time," Lupin said nostalgically. "Then James got Lily, and you were the only one left sneaking peeks at her."

Belvina and Bassheda looked over at the same time, surprised that Sirius was also a woman of interest in Rosmerta.

"What do you mean by staring at her and peeking? I was appreciating her, it was art," Sirius retorted. "If you don't understand, don't talk nonsense."

Belvina turned her head to look at the bustling crowd outside the window and said, "If Harry had half your shamelessness, he would be the one sitting in Mrs. Patiffe's Tea House today."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Sirius and Lupin immediately became alert.

These two old bachelors weren't in a hurry to get married and have children, but they were particularly concerned about Harry's love life.

"Harry has a girl he likes," Bassheda explained, "Cho Chang from Ravenclaw, a very pretty Asian girl."

Sirius and Lupin were overjoyed, relieved that their pig had finally learned to root for cabbages.

"But now, Cedric Diggory is by Cho Chang's side," Belvina said quietly. "Harry basically has no chance."

"Diggory?" Lupin asked. "Who is he to Amos Diggory?"

"So, another champion chosen?" Sirius asked. "Why? What makes Harry any worse than him?"

Belvina turned back to Sirius and said slowly, "When Cedric took the initiative, Harry couldn't even utter a fart. Tell me, where did they fall short?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Sirius Black and Lupin started scratching their heads in unison.

"That can't be right," Sirius muttered, "Why doesn't Harry have the same thick skin as James?"

"Maybe it looks more like Lily?" Lupin said uncertainly. "No, it doesn't look like Lily either. What should we do?"

Back then, James pursued Lily relentlessly, using all sorts of tricks and pleading. Who would have thought that Harry would be so pathetic as to not even dare to take the initiative to pursue her?

Sirius and Lupin sighed repeatedly, worried that their pigs wouldn't have a chance to root for cabbages.

"Belvina, I've never asked you for anything—you're a professor at the university, so why don't you put that Diggory kid in solitary confinement for a few days?"

"Ahem, I'm still here!" Bassheda glared at Sirius. "Don't you dare bully Hufflepuff!"

"That's alright then." Sirius awkwardly turned his head to look at the bustling street outside the window.

After a while, the embarrassed Sirius finally remembered his business. He took a long, narrow box out of his robe pocket and handed it to Belvina.

"Your old wand," Sirius said. "I had no idea you'd changed your wand."

"An old wand?" Bassheda looked at Belvina, unaware that Belvina had changed her wand.

Belvina took the long, thin box and said, "We weren't even familiar with each other when I used this old wand."

Upon hearing Belvina's words, Sirius turned to look out the window again.

"Something unexpected happened at home back then, and this old wand became malfunctioning," Belvina continued. "So I switched to my current wand."

The four people sitting around the table all knew what had happened to the Black family.

Lupin stared at the clear liquid in his glass, saying nothing; Basilda gently held Belvina's hand, also remaining silent.

Sirius Black, meanwhile, continued to watch the people coming and going outside the window, a barely perceptible hint of guilt flashing in his eyes.

"Alright, that's all in the past," Belvina said casually. "Do I look like I'm having a problem?"

But the more relaxed Belvina spoke, the less Bassheda would let go. Sirius Black also kept staring out the window, as if the outside world held a great attraction for him.

Because of an old, discarded magic wand, the four people who were originally full of enthusiasm fell silent, and a low-pressure atmosphere swirled and lingered, refusing to dissipate.

It wasn't until Ron and Hermione appeared outside the window that Bathsheda, Sirius, and Lupin regained their composure and their laughter returned.

Soon, Ron and Hermione pushed open the door to the Three Brooms and came in.

Harry, hidden under the Invisibility Cloak, had a difficult time walking, often accidentally stepping on other people's feet or having his feet stepped on by others.

To avoid getting his feet trampled, Harry had to turn sideways and carefully inch his way through the crowded tavern.

Harry didn't put away the Invisibility Cloak until he walked to the table and sat down next to Ron.

"Cho Chang is here," Belvina suddenly said. "Where's Cedric?"

Harry immediately looked up with hope.

He saw Hannah Abbott and Ernie McMillan wearing badges, and also a large group of Ravenclaw students.

Qiu Zhang was the only one I didn't see.

"She was obviously joking with you," Bassheda said, shaking her head. "And you actually believed her."

Sirius and Lupin both looked out the window, a wave of guilt washing over them at the same time—James, this kid seems hopeless.
