Hogwarts: Who made her a professor?

Chapter 415, The Second Drop of Blood

Chapter 415, The Second Drop of Blood

Chapter 415 First Blood

"Given the current turbulent situation, Miss Black and Ms. Burns are worried about leaving you alone on Privet Drive."

As Williamson led Harry and Dudley into the wisteria-lined path, he whispered to the boy beside him.

Voldemort has returned with a vengeance, and the Death Eaters are stirring. Wizarding society appears peaceful and stable on the surface, but undercurrents are surging beneath.

In this situation, Harry Potter's safety is naturally of paramount importance.

Not only the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, but also the Order of the Phoenix had people protecting Harry 24/7. "You mean, you've been with me the whole time, right here on Privet Drive!" Harry said in surprise. "I didn't even notice you."

Keep in mind that this is Little Huiglin, a district completely out of place for wizards. A group of wizards in strange costumes walking down the street would be hard to miss if they weren't spotted by the residents.

"The people responsible for protecting you were carefully selected by Miss Black and Ms. Burns, how could you have discovered them so easily!"

Williamson puffed out his chest proudly and continued, "However, I'm still quite surprised by your keen observation; you actually discovered that someone was following you."

"What?" Harry asked. "I wasn't imagining things, or seeing things?"

"I can tell you with absolute certainty that it's not true," Williamson explained. "The people protecting you only notified us and sent us all over because they noticed someone was suspiciously following you."

Harry thought for a moment and asked, "Is it the Invisibility Cloak or the Disillusionment Charm?"

"The Disillusionment Charm," Williams said. "With careful observation, the Disillusionment Charm is quite easy to detect, unless the caster is extremely powerful."

Just minutes before, Harry was wondering if he was seeing things and mistaking the swaying dry grass for a person.

Now that Harry has learned the truth from Williamson, cold sweat instantly soaks his back; the situation just now was far too dangerous.

Thinking of this, Harry glanced at Dudley, who was following closely behind him. If that person launched a sneak attack at the amusement park, Harry had no confidence in protecting Dudley from harm.

"Those people left in the amusement park—" Harry was worried about the Ministry of Magic staff left in the amusement park. The people following him had ulterior motives, and those people might be in danger.

"You don't need to worry about them. Our mission is to protect you from harm," Williamson said. "And I believe they have the ability to deal with the people following you."

"Where is Belvina now?" Harry then asked his professor.

Harry was curious about what his godfather and professor had been up to lately, and why they preferred to keep watch over Little Wheekin rather than bring him back to London.

"I don't know," Williamson said honestly. "Miss Black has been very busy lately, extremely busy—"

Williamson suddenly fell silent. He warily raised his wand, shielding Harry behind him, while his companions also looked around cautiously.

Harry, bewildered, raised his wand as well. He didn't know why the Ministry of Magic staff had suddenly become so tense, but he still prepared for battle.

The sultry air flowed slowly, rustling the trees in the garden. The sound of cars filled the night sky in the distance, and two figures appeared at the end of the street.

The man walking in front was one of the scouts, and beside him was an elderly woman who was panting heavily.

Mrs. Figg!

Harry recognized his eccentric neighbor immediately.

When Harry was a child, the Dursleys would sometimes leave him in Mrs. Figg's care.

But to be honest, Harry didn't like Mrs. Figg, didn't like her house which smelled like cabbage, and didn't like her cats.

Harry looked at Mrs. Figg, who was panting heavily, and saw her gray hair falling out of her hairnet and the jingling net bag on her wrist—Harry was stunned. How could Mrs. Figg be involved with wizards?

At this point, Williamson also recognized the old woman who lived on Privet Drive and liked to keep cats, but he did not let his guard down.

"This is Arabella Feig, Potter's neighbor." The wizard who was scouting ahead approached, then whispered in Williamson's ear, "She's from the Order of the Phoenix."

Williamson looked at Mrs. Figg, who was looking anxious, with surprise. Wasn't she a Muggle? How could she be a member of the Order of the Phoenix!

Yes, Williamson knew about the Order of the Phoenix, and he also knew that the people of the Order of the Phoenix were protecting Harry, but he never imagined that Mrs. Figg could be involved with the Order of the Phoenix!

When Williamson first led his team to Privet Drive, he conducted a survey of the surrounding residents. The results were consistent with the Ministry of Magic's records: there was only one wizard on record in Little Wheeking District, and that was their target for protection, Harry Potter.

If that's the case, where did Arabella Figg come from, and how did she join the Order of the Phoenix?

"I'll kill Mundungus Fletcher!" Mrs. Figg screamed as she anxiously checked Harry for injuries.

Harry looked at Mrs. Figg, puzzled, his little head filled with big question marks.

"Dumbledore sent that bastard Fletcher to protect you, and he just left on his own! I'll skin him alive!" Mrs. Figg screamed. "I just heard they say someone's following you. Are you alright? Are you hurt?"

Mrs. Figg's concern made Harry feel somewhat uneasy.

"You know Dumbledore?" Harry asked. "So, you're a wizard?"

This question also voiced the doubts in Williamson and Prout's minds: how could there be unregistered wizards in Little Wheeking District!

"I'm a Squib, I can't even transform a tea bag," Mrs. Figg said. "Dumbledore instructed me to keep an eye on you and, while I'm at it, keep an eye on the Dursleys."

Mrs. Figg's words were quite revealing, leaving Harry even more bewildered. The person who had watched him grow up knew Dumbledore! This was truly unexpected and completely surprising.

Williamson and Prout understood why the Ministry of Magic hadn't registered Arabella Figg's name; no one would consider a Squib a wizard.

"Harry," Williamson said, looking at Harry, then turning to Mrs. Figg, "Mrs. Figg, this isn't the place to talk. Shall we take Harry back first?"

"Oh, yes, yes, let's get Harry back first," Mrs. Figg said. "If it weren't for you—if it were the one following Harry—Mundungus Fletcher! I would have killed that bastard myself!"

Following the strange scene at Magnolia Road Amusement Park, another oddly formed team has appeared in Little Huijin District: a strange team composed of Muggles, Squibs, and Wizards.

The group walked along the wisteria-lined path toward the privet path, maintaining their previous formation, with some scouting ahead and others bringing up the rear.

Meanwhile, on the other side...

In the amusement park on Magnolia Road, Avery, who was secretly following Harry, was in a tough fight.

Avery was originally just unwilling to give up and thought he would sneak over to Little Huigkin to take a look, but he found that the guards around Harry were not very tight.

This was a disaster. Avery's pent-up desires, which had died down outside Malfoy Manor, were rekindled in Little Wheegham. So, Avery secretly followed Harry, intending to abduct the boy who had miraculously survived.

To Avery's surprise, Harry Potter, who had just turned 175 a few days old, was able to see through his Disillusionment Charm and accurately pinpoint the patch of withered grass where he was hiding.

What Avery didn't expect was that the seemingly lax security was actually quite tight. People from the Ministry of Magic suddenly swarmed in from all directions. They not only took Harry away, but also surrounded Avery in the amusement park.

It is said that "a bad person's cunning is no match for a fool's quick thinking," but what happens when a bad person who has racked their brains suddenly has a flash of inspiration?

Pure-blood wizard Mr. Avery handed over his answer, and he was then beaten up by Ministry of Magic staff.

The wizards sent to Privet Drive to protect Harry Potter were all carefully selected, highly trained elites. With the initiative and the superior numbers, Mr. Avery had virtually no chance of winning.

"Avada Kedavra!"

A flash of green light appeared, and the Killing Curse swept past.

The Death Eater Avery was still putting up a last-ditch resistance; he was wearing a cloak, a hood, and a mask.

Avery has barely held on thanks to the Killing Curse, which kills with a single blow, but he knows he can't last much longer and must find a way to escape as soon as possible.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Avery cast the Killing Curse again, forcing back a witch who tried to get close. The Ministry of Magic witch rolled away, barely avoiding the Killing Curse, looking quite disheveled.

Although the Killing Curse was unstoppable, the sheer number of people in the Ministry of Magic was overwhelming, and they quickly suppressed the resisting Avery.

A flash of red light, and Avery's wand flew out of his hand.

Immediately afterward, another spell struck Avery, who clutched his left shoulder in agony and let out a bloodcurdling scream.

The next second, a rope appeared out of thin air and bound the screaming Avery. The other end of the rope was connected to Aurosevic's wand, and with a strong pull, Avery, bound by the rope, fell to the ground.

Aurosevic cautiously approached Avery, saying as he went, "Mr. Death Eater, let's see what you're really like."

As he spoke, Sevil raised his wand again, aiming at the intricately patterned mask Avery wore on his face.

The other people in the Ministry of Magic also looked over, all wanting to know who this madman who dared to follow Harry Potter was.

"Avada Kedavra!"

A slight crackling sound, a cold killing curse, and a merciless green light.

A Ministry of Magic employee guarding the amusement park collapsed to the ground, his face showing no fear, but still retaining the joy of having just successfully captured the dark wizard.

Almost at the same time, Aurosevic felt a sharp pain in his chest, and then he saw blood splattering up—his blood, blood splattering from his chest.

The change came too fast and too suddenly; the Ministry of Magic staff at the amusement park had no time to react.

In a single encounter, one Ministry of Magic employee was killed and another seriously injured, while Avery had already been rescued.
