Marineford in Sharingan, Uchiha Admiral

Chapter 3: The Sharingan!

Chapter 3: The Sharingan!

"Capone is a special weapons expert for the Science Unit, Smoker, release him immediately!"

The Den Den Mushi is anthropomorphized with two small mustaches and a deep voice.

Smoker raised the Den Den Mushi and said coldly, "There are twenty-seven eyewitness reports of him committing murders. Does someone like that even deserve to be called a weapons expert?!"

……

"It's just killing a few thugs and hooligans, what's the big deal?"

"Smoker, Capone is very knowledgeable about weapons. Some of the naval warships in the West Sea are equipped with shells produced by him."

"Do you know how many pirates those weapons wiped out, and how many casualties they reduced for us?!"

"As long as Capone doesn't harm the Navy, it doesn't matter how many of those gang members we kill. Can their lives compare to the Navy's?"

"Don't be naive, prioritize, and release Capone immediately!"

Smoker's expression froze slightly.

Previously, all he had heard were direct orders to release the enemy; he had not heard what the superior officer said later.

He originally thought that Capone had bribed his superiors with the money he had amassed from Berry, which was why he was able to escape arrest time and time again.

Perhaps it was because Smoker was about to be promoted and was going to the significant town of Loguetown that the superior had the patience to explain to him.

He clenched his fists tightly, his voice lowering slightly: "If that's the case, why not just recruit him into the science unit instead of letting him engage in gang activities!"

"I can see Capone's ambition. If left unchecked, he'll eventually set sail and become a major enemy of the Navy!"

Smoker, upholding his own sense of justice, would persuade and recruit those who had not yet committed crimes.

Just like how they treated Allen back then.

He had a deep-seated feeling that if he let this brat go to sea, it would cause a huge disaster for the navy!

Therefore, it took him a long time to dissuade Allen from becoming a pirate and correct his mindset in time.

……

The navy is the largest organization under the world government and is responsible for maintaining maritime security.

In addition to the Naval Headquarters and its various branches, there are many other branches, among which the Science Unit is a very important department.

The person calling Smoker now is a commander in the Science Unit, a brigadier general.

Although there is only one step between a brigadier general and a colonel, it is the difference between a general and a colonel, and their authority is vastly different.

Only someone with Smoker's personality would dare to speak to his superior in such an attitude.

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the Den Den Mushi before someone spoke softly.

"I'll say it again, don't be so childish, Smoker."

"In order to deal with the Great Pirate Era caused by Roger, the Navy even went so far as to cooperate with pirates and form the Seven Warlords of the Sea. What's more, I'm just cooperating with a gang now."

"Times are changing, you need to adapt."

……

When the newly established Seven Warlords of the Sea system was mentioned, Smoker's expression immediately darkened.

"A pirate is a pirate! The Seven Warlords of the Sea? This system is a betrayal of the Navy's justice!!"

"Watch your words, Smoker!!"

"The world isn't just about pirates and the navy. When will you realize that?!"

"It's precisely because of your stubborn mindset that your advancement has been so slow, even with your abilities!"

As the strongest Logia-type Devil Fruit user, Smoker's physical skills are also formidable; his raw strength is at least at the Major General level.

He's only a lieutenant colonel now, and he only got the chance to be promoted because of Capone's actions.

How ironic.

"Capone must be safely at home by dawn tomorrow, or your and Allen's promotions will be suspended! That's it!"

The Den Den Mushi (a type of electric scooter) hangs up.

Smoker's breathing became heavy. Finally, he sighed helplessly, put away the Den Den Mushi, and looked at Allen.

……

"Did I really do something wrong, Allen?"

Compared to the cold, hard bench, Capone's fatty texture was much better.

Allen, sitting on Capone's back, gave a faint smile: "Yo, Mr. Smoker, the Navy's mad dog, actually says things like that?"

"Stop joking, Allen..."

Smoker looked somewhat tired, taking a small puff of his cigar: "I want to protect the weak and hunt down real robbers and bandits. It's that simple... Why do people always say I'm wrong?"

"Was I really...wrong?"

……

Allen remained silent for a moment.

Realizing that Smoker was serious, he began to think about the question as well.

Smoker is a good man. He cares about his subordinates and treats even privates as equals.

He refused to abuse his power for personal gain, and when protecting children and civilians, he would restrain his fierce expression and reveal his benevolent kindness.

Allen can't be like Smoker, but that doesn't stop him from liking Smoker the way he is.

He deeply hates pirates and fights to protect the weak...

Unfortunately, such a person finds it difficult to advance within the Navy.

After a while, Allen said with a smile.

"In the Navy, if you want to climb the ranks, you have to cater to the great Celestial Dragons, completely obey the World Government's orders, and be a dog that listens to your every word."

"That's beyond doubt."

"And to change this situation, one has to climb up the ladder until one has the right to make a change."

……

"You think so too...?" Smoker's eyes held a hint of disappointment.

How could he not know such a thing?

"but!"

Allen abruptly changed the subject, raising his voice.

"Commander Smoker, you hate those people so much, you've fought against the corrupt system for so long, and yet you become one of them in your attempt to change the system..."

Allen's gaze was pure and clear, like a deep pool, calming Smoker's agitated heart.

"No ideal is worth such a price to pay!"

"Then continue on your path of justice."

"Isn't it cool to dedicate your life to your beliefs?"

……

……

clatter……

Sometime later, Smoker's tightly held cigar fell to the ground.

Just now, just as Allen said those words, he thought of someone.

A person who is extremely important to him.

Zephyr-sensei!!

A belief that will stay with me for life... Yes, that's why I became a Marine, isn't it, because I wanted to be a cool man like Professor Zephyr!

What am I hesitating about?

What's there to hesitate about!

……

"Heh...that's not like something a brat like you would say..."

Smoker took out his cigar again, lit it, and kept it in his mouth: "Keep it up... being a branch manager isn't the end for you."

He had made up his mind; he would recommend Allen to headquarters within the next two years to join the general officer training camp.

I glanced at my watch; the hands had passed twelve.

His gaze shifted to Capone.

"What should I do with this guy? I hate him... but..."

Allen stood up, grabbing Capone: "I'll handle it. I told you to go back to sleep. I'm the branch officer now!"

"Ha...you rude brat."

-

-

In the branch's prison cell.

Capone, slowly waking up, looked at Allen in front of him and realized that he was not bound by chains. He then understood something.

He said confidently, "Heh, you guys got the call, right? If anything happens to me..."

I won't hurt you.

Allen interrupted him, a faint smile playing on his lips.

How could I bear to hurt you...?

As they spoke, a crimson light flashed in the dimly lit cell.

Sharingan!!!
