Chapter 607 Meteor Waterfall
Chapter 607 Meteor Waterfall
The next day arrived.
The morning light of Kanaz City streamed through the half-drawn curtains into the master bedroom of the villa, spreading a gentle golden hue across the floor.
Li Luochen woke up on the big bed in the villa. Before he was fully awake, he smelled a faint scent of shampoo.
He looked down slightly and saw that Rukia was curled up in his arms, her soft, blue-green hair spread out on the pillow, and the iconic keystone hair clip was taken off and placed on the bedside table.
She was wearing a light blue nightgown, her breathing was even and long, and a faint smile played on her lips, as if she were having a sweet dream.
One hand was still clutching the hem of his clothes, not tightly, but not loosely either.
Rukia seemed to sense something. Her long eyelashes trembled slightly, and she opened her eyes groggily. Her eyes, still misty with tears, met Li Luochen's gaze. She blinked twice in confusion, then curved them into two crescent moons.
"Good morning, Brother Luo Chen..."
After saying that, Rukia snuggled closer to him, burying her face in his chest and rubbing it against him a couple of times, showing no intention of getting up.
"Good morning! What's up with you today? I'm going to Meteor Falls."
Li Luochen stroked Ryukia's head and asked.
"I made an appointment with Sister Du Juan to go to Kanaz Academy and teach those students about the Grand Contest."
Rukia rubbed her eyes and propped herself up from his embrace.
The strap of her blue pajamas slipped down her shoulder, but she was completely oblivious, preoccupied with counting the lessons she had to teach that day on her fingers:
"I only taught half of it yesterday, and there are still a few moves I haven't finished demonstrating today. There are also some promising students whom I think I can give some pointers to."
"Then I'll leave Lillie to you."
Li Luochen also sat up from the bed and raised his hand to tidy up his messy hair.
Lillie is a quiet and introverted child who loves to study. Rather than going with him to Meteor Falls, a desolate place exposed to the wind and sun, it would be better for her to stay at Kanaz Academy with Rukia.
At least there's a library, classrooms, and a group of peers around her age, which should make her feel more comfortable.
Ryukia peeked out from behind him, patting her chest to assure him:
"Don't worry about me, Lillie will never be bored with me."
After saying that, she suddenly remembered something, picked up her keystone hair clip from the bedside table, turned around, and added with a grin, "But Brother Luo Chen, if you really encounter a baby dragon at Meteor Falls, remember to take a picture and send it to us!"
"Lillie would be so happy if she could catch one. She was looking through the Pokédex of Bagon in the library yesterday."
"must."
Li Luochen smiled and nodded, stood up from the bedside, and casually grabbed a coat to put on.
Then he went to the window and drew back the curtains, letting the morning light flood into the room, making the entire bedroom bright and clear.
The Devon Tower in the distance gleamed in the sunlight, and the sea in the distance shimmered with light—it was perfect weather for going out.
He quickly washed up, changed into some light clothes, and put the Poké Balls back on his waist.
Before leaving, I gently pushed open the door of the second bedroom and took a peek inside.
Lillie had already gotten up early and was sitting at her desk quietly flipping through the book she had borrowed from the Kanaz Academy library. When she heard the door open, she looked up and nodded gently at him.
Li Luochen waved to her, said nothing more, quietly closed the door, and set off alone on the road to Meteor Waterfall.
......
Meteor Falls is easy to find; it's located in the mountains north of Kanaz City.
Follow the clearly marked mountain road northwards, pass through a dense coniferous forest, and then climb over a not-too-steep hill, and you will see the huge cave entrance carved into the rock face.
The rocks at the cave entrance are smooth and shiny from years of water vapor erosion, and vines hang down from the cracks in the rocks, swaying gently in the morning breeze.
Li Luochen stepped into the cave, feeling a slippery sensation under his feet.
He had expected to see the legendary, spectacular waterfall cascading down the cliff, but the scene before him was quite different from what he had imagined.
The cave is very spacious inside, but the ground is not flat. There are pits and holes everywhere, and puddles of all sizes are scattered among them. The water reflects the faint light that leaks through the cracks in the stalactites on the cave ceiling, like shattered mirrors that have been overturned.
The air was filled with the damp smell of rocks, and occasionally water droplets fell from the stalactite tips overhead, creating a crisp echo in the silent cave.
The distant rumble of water could be faintly heard, indicating that the waterfall was further inland.
Li Luochen avoided a deep, puddled pit and walked toward the direction from which the sound of water was coming.
"Chirp chirp~"
Not far away, a small Pokémon peeked out from a crevice in the rock wall.
Its entire body is covered in sky-blue downy feathers, its pair of wings are fluffy like two cotton candies, and two long blue feathers on its head sway gently with its movements. Its tail feathers are also the same sky-blue color.
Seemingly noticing the arrival of Li Luochen, this uninvited guest, it tilted its little head and curiously examined Li Luochen, the outsider who had entered the cave, with its bright black eyes, and let out a soft, sweet chirp.
Swabbit is a Pokémon with both Flying and Normal types. It is gentle in nature and likes to nest near clean water sources.
The blue cotton bird looked quite young, its feathers still having the fluffy texture typical of young birds. It was probably attracted by the sound of Li Luochen splashing in the puddles.
"Chirp chirp." (Who are you?)
It fluttered down from the cliff and landed on a protruding rock not far from Li Luochen, tilting its head and letting out another cry.
"I'm just browsing around here. Have you seen any residents here?"
Li Luochen crouched down, bringing himself to eye level with the blue cotton bird.
His tone was gentle and casual, as if he were greeting a neighbor's child.
Although Swabbit itself is not a Dragon-type Pokémon, its evolved form Altaria is a genuine Dragon-type Pokémon.
It possesses both Dragon and Flying attributes, and after Mega Evolution, it also gains Fairy attributes, which is why it is called a "traitor to the Dragon Clan" by many people in various regions.
However, Li Luochen didn't care about this at all.
He possesses the power to control dragons and the power of aura, giving him a natural affinity for Dragon-type Pokémon.
Although the Blue Cotton Bird is not a Dragon-type bird, the faint aura of Dragon-type blood on its body felt to him like a flickering candle flame in the darkness—clear and warm.
His waveguide power was also quietly flowing, conveying goodwill to this little thing.
I am a friend, not an enemy.
