Hogwarts: Who made her a professor?

Chapter 162 The Unforgivable Curse

Chapter 162 The Unforgivable Curse

Chapter 162 The Unforgivable Curse

Two days later, on the streets of London.

At midnight, the streets are filled with people partying and drinking late into the night, with shops closed on both sides and stars twinkling overhead.

A late-night bus rumbled by, and Belvina suddenly appeared on the streets of London, very close to Grimmauld Place.

Belvina swaggered down the wide street, seemingly unconcerned about the men who were following and monitoring her.

They are not worried about any malicious masterminds behind the scenes.

As she walked along the street, she took out a silver triangular hair clip, retied her long, black hair, and secured it with the clip.

Before long, Belvina stopped in front of a dilapidated little coffee shop. It was a shop that was open day and night, but there wasn't a single customer inside.

Belvina checked the sign at the entrance and then went into the run-down cafe.

In the deserted coffee shop, there was only one slightly plump waitress standing behind the counter. She said emotionlessly, "Sorry, we're sold out. If you want coffee, go somewhere else."

The waitress spoke in a very mechanical tone, as if it were pre-programmed, like a Muggle robot, or a wizard's alchemical creation.

Belvina ignored the noisy waitress and pulled down the roller shutter at the entrance of the store. Only then did she have time to glance at the woman standing behind the bar.

The waitress looked dazed, her eyes lifeless, and she kept repeating the same sentence. She seemed completely unaware that the stranger had pulled down the roller shutter.

The soul-stealing curse on the feet can be seen through at a glance.

If all wizards who use the Imperius Curse were this skilled, the Ministry of Magic wouldn't have been so overwhelmed by it back then.

Belvina pulled out her wand and pointed it casually. The waitress, who was under the influence of the Imperius Curse, immediately lost consciousness and collapsed limply to the ground.

Perhaps it was the poor Muggle girl's mechanical repetition, or perhaps it was the faint sound of her falling to the ground, but a balding middle-aged man emerged from behind.

The balding middle-aged man wasn't very tall, but his belly was quite large. His short, thick right hand held a thin, long wooden stick that seemed disproportionate to his size. He was a wizard.

Without any hesitation, Belvina raised her wand and cast a Disarming Charm and a Stunning Charm, giving her opponent no time to react.

In an instant, the wand in the balding middle-aged man's hand flew out, and he fell to the side, unconscious.

"Crushed to pieces!"

A spell flew out from behind the balding middle-aged man, and another wizard was hiding behind him.

Belvina raised her hand to block, and the Shattering Spell returned the way it came. The attacking wizard used his companion's body as cover and rolled behind the bar.

The middle-aged, balding man who fell into a coma was in trouble. He was first hit by Belvina's Stunning Curse, and then by the Shattering Curse that bounced back from his companion. Merlin would not allow him to leave St. Mungo's.

"Help! That woman is attacking!" shouted the wizard hiding behind the bar. He had a long scar on his face and looked menacing.

As the scarred wizard shouted a warning, the people who remained in the shop's kitchen area rushed over. A series of hurried footsteps sounded, but no one was seen; they had obviously hidden themselves.

Everyone has arrived. Belvina silently counted the number of people in her mind.

Tonight, she has already seriously injured two people in Grimmauld Place, and just knocked out a balding middle-aged wizard. There's a scarred man hiding behind the bar, and two more in the kitchen. The six people monitoring and tailing her are all lined up neatly.

"Who is Carson Jeffrey?" Belvina suddenly spoke up. "Come out and have a word with him, and I'll let you leave."

Carson Jeffrey, a tall, blond wizard hiding in the kitchen, had tiny, rat-like eyes that darted around. He realized that the person he was supposed to be monitoring tonight was probably in grave danger.

Jeffrey gestured to the small, thin wizard beside him, then said, "Who are you, and why are you attacking us without provocation!"

Before he finished speaking, the thin man suddenly attacked. He was already short, and he was crouching down when he attacked, so the angle at which the spell was fired was quite tricky.

Unfortunately, the small-statured male wizard didn't seem to be good at silent spellcasting; even though he was planning a sneak attack, he still had to shout out the incantation.

"He's unconscious!" shouted the thin male wizard, and a flash of red light appeared.

The scarred wizard hiding behind the bar also stood up, raised his wand, and chanted, "Sandstorm!"

Belvina sidestepped the red stun spell, which struck the roller shutter behind her, leaving a large dent in the metal door.

Then, Belvina raised her wand again, deflecting and waving it, and the scarred wizard's spell was deflected back. The spell exploded on the wall near the bar, and the force of the explosion sent the scarred wizard flying, crashing into the wall on the other side.

"Shatter to pieces!" The small, thin male wizard launched another sneak attack.

Carson Jeffrey, who had been hiding in the kitchen, also emerged from behind the door, raised his wand and pointed it at Belvina. A red light quickly passed through the chaotic shop.

However, neither spell hit Belvina; they didn't even touch a single hair on her head.

Just as the scarred wizard crashed into the wall, Belvina waved her wand and immediately pulled the scarred wizard in front of her. The unfortunate scarred wizard used his body to block the spell aimed at Belvina.

The unconscious scarred wizard fell to the ground, turning the three-on-one situation into a two-on-one one.

Sensing danger, Carson Jeffrey and the short wizard immediately hid, one behind the bar counter and the other behind the door, waiting for their chance.

"Let's talk for a bit, Mr. Jeffrey," Belvina said calmly. "Just tell me who sent you."

I'll let you go.

Belvina kicked the fallen scarred wizard aside, took a step forward, and stood there arrogantly, not taking the remaining two seriously at all.

Carson Jeffrey, hiding behind the bar, didn't say a word. He had only one thought in mind: to escape.

"Why aren't you saying anything? Are you trying to run away?" Belvina continued, "Before entering the store, I circled the area and set up a temporary anti-Apparition spell. You can't escape."

With that, Belvina raised her wand and pointed it at the door leading to the kitchen area, sending sand and stones flying!

Even though they are the exact same spells, the damage they cause is vastly different because of the different people who cast them.

Belvina's spell burst through the wooden door leading to the kitchen area, causing the short wizard hiding there to lunge towards the door in an attempt to avoid the impact of the explosion.

Unfortunately, the short wizard overestimated his agility and underestimated Belvina's destructive power; the force of the explosion still sent him flying.

The diminutive wizard, propelled by the impact, crashed through a row of tables and chairs before finally coming to a stop against the wall. He was now incapacitated and coughed up a mouthful of blood.

Belvina, however, did not let the short wizard off the hook. With a flick of her wand, the wizard floated up, his arms and legs hanging limply at his sides, too weak to even struggle.

Then, Belvina waved her wand forward, and the short wizard flew out like an arrow, flying over the messy shop area, through the wooden door, and crashing heavily into the wall of the kitchen area.

The sound of bones snapping sent chills down Carson Jeffrey's spine; cold sweat soaked his robes. He wished he had known this day would come.

We shouldn't have come to Grimoire Place.

"Mr. Jeffrey, you should be grateful," Belvina said calmly. "The biggest difference between me and other Blakes is that I don't like killing."

That being said, Carson Jeffrey's fear did not diminish in the slightest; disliking killing does not mean he will not kill!

Speaking of the short male witch, Belvina did not kill him, but who knows how many bones in his body were broken?

Carson Jeffrey, hiding behind the bar, glanced at the middle-aged, balding wizard sprawled on the ground, then at the Muggle waitress who had fainted at the far end, and an idea instantly formed in his mind.

The tall Carson Jeffrey grabbed the unconscious female Muggle, carried her out of the bar with one arm, and pressed his wand against her head.

"Miss Black, you used to be an official in the Ministry of Magic, and now you're a professor at Hogwarts," Geoffrey threatened, "you don't want anything to happen to this Muggle, do you?"

Desperate, Carson Jeffrey resorted to this desperate measure, using the lives of innocent Muggles caught in the wizarding conflict to threaten Belvina into sparing his life.

This threat sounds very much like something out of an island nation. Come to think of it, Britain is an island nation too!

The scene unfolding before her eyes made Belvina laugh. She couldn't understand what Carson Jeffrey was thinking, threatening a Black man with the life of a Muggle!

"What are you laughing at!" Jeffrey roared. "Put down your wand and let me leave, and I'll give this Muggle back to you."

Otherwise—”

"What else can I do? Kill her?" Belvina said coldly. "I beg you, just kill her now, really. If you kill her, I'll have a perfect reason to kill you."

Carson Jeffrey's eyes were bloodshot. He didn't care about anything else now; he just wanted to get out of the anti-Apparition range and escape.

"No, no," Belvina suddenly muttered to herself.

The sudden turn of events filled Carson Jeffrey with hope; Blake was just being stubborn, she still had reservations. "Who put the Imperius Curse on this girl?" Belvina asked. "Was it you, Mr. Jeffrey?"

Cold sweat soaked Carson Jeffrey's robes again; he sensed the murderous intent emanating from Belvina's eyes.

The killing intent was almost tangible.

Belvina continued, "Actually, if you just told me who ordered you, I would naturally let you go, but you dared to threaten me. Carson Jeffrey, even Merlin can't save you."

The next second, Carson Jeffrey suddenly felt his mind go blank, all his worries and anxieties vanished, and all his fears and terrors disappeared. Jeffrey only felt incredibly happy and joyful.

Then, Carson Jeffrey heard someone say to him: Tell me, who sent you—

"I don't know who that person is, but he was very generous and gave me a lot of money," Carson Jeffrey said with a silly grin.

Carson Jeffrey heard someone say to him again: "Raise your wand and point it at your head. Okay, of course you should do it, why not—" Carson Jeffrey thought to himself—

Carson Jeffrey slowly raised his wand, the tip resting on his temple, a happy smile spreading across his face.

Blood splattered.

Carson Jeffrey collapsed to the ground with a thud, blood gushing from the hole in his temple, soaking his golden curly hair.
