Chapter 177 Cultivators, Suppress!
Chapter 177 Cultivators, Suppress!
A terrifying aura emerged from the thick fog, followed by the appearance of a pair of enormous red eyes, as big as lanterns.
Gu Yan and Mu Yue stared in that direction and saw a giant emerge from the thick fog. It was a warrior covered in thick armor, wearing a helmet, and completely wrapped up. The giant had six arms, each holding a different weapon.
This giant has no trace of human life; it is a puppet.
A puppet with demigod-level strength.
After the giant puppet appeared, a rumbling sound echoed in the thick fog. Then, huge eyes, like red lanterns, appeared in the fog, and a massive shadow emerged from the fog.
A giant, yet another giant puppet.
This giant puppet was also covered in thick armor, wore a helmet, and had six arms, each holding a different weapon.
Mu Yue and Gu Yan stared in shock as more than a dozen giant puppets emerged one after another from the thick fog. These giants' crimson eyes were fixed on Mu Yue and Gu Yan. Compared to these giants, Gu Yan and Mu Yue, suspended in the air, appeared as insignificant as ants.
"What is this?" Gu Yan asked with a very serious expression.
These guys are all demigods.
"I don't know. I didn't see these things the first two times I came here," Mu Yue said with a hint of doubt, already holding a long knife in his hand.
Gu Yan also held a long sword in her hand.
The giant golems' eyes glowed, and then beams of red and black light shot out from their eyes, with the red beams attacking.
Behind Gu Yan appeared a banner several meters tall, embroidered with a black tortoise. As the beam of light shone, the black tortoise on the banner moved, emitting an icy blue light. The black ghost and the giant snake protected Gu Yan and Mu Yue.
Rumbling--
The beams of light struck Xuanwu, producing a deafening roar. A dozen giant puppets continuously fired beams of light, bombarding the area. Xuanwu blocked all the beams' power, but the resulting shockwaves instantly swept away the surrounding gray mist. After the mist dissipated, Gu Yan and Mu Yue both showed expressions of shock.
There were even hundreds of identical giant golems hidden in the thick fog, all heading this way.
shhhhh--
The red and black beams continued to shoot out.
Mu Yue stood beside Gu Yan, and asked in horror, "What's going on? What are these guys? They weren't here the first two times."
Seeing his expression, Gu Yan realized he wasn't lying and wondered: Could it be that his appearance attracted these guys?
With a thought, red light surged behind Gu Yan, and in addition to the Black Tortoise Banner, the Vermilion Bird Banner, the White Tiger Banner, and the Azure Dragon Banner also appeared.
Gu Yan made a hand seal and shouted, causing all four flags to burst into dazzling light. The sounds of dragons roaring and phoenixes crying rang out, followed by the roar of a white tiger. The area was engulfed in light, and the terrifying storm of spiritual energy swept away the giant puppets.
The Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, Azure Dragon, and Black Tortoise appeared together, radiating auspicious light, with beams of light so powerful they distorted the void.
As soon as Gu Yan saw that all the giant puppets had been knocked away, she grabbed Mu Yue and ran away at top speed.
shhhhh--
Beams of light pursued them from behind, and Gu Yan and Mu Yue dodged them constantly. The floating boulders and suspended islands around them were hit by the beams and shattered with a deafening roar.
"With so many demigod-level puppets, we...we'd better get out of here quickly," Mu Yue said.
Gu Yan agreed with his opinion, but there were more than a dozen giant golems blocking the way out. Unless they were dismantled, it wouldn't be so easy to get out.
The giant golems, missing their beams, brandished their various weapons and attacked Gu Yan and Mu Yue. Mu Yue was utterly powerless against a demigod, becoming nothing more than a burden. If Gu Yan hadn't protected him, he would be dead by now. However, Gu Yan noticed that the attacks were actually concentrated on this side. Could it be that these creatures had truly appeared because of her?
To verify her idea, Gu Yan pushed Mu Yue away with one hand.
Mu Yue exclaimed in surprise and landed on a rock that was fifty feet high.
After Mu Yue flew away, none of the giant puppets paid any attention to him; all the giant puppets focused their attacks on Gu Yan.
Swords, spears, axes, halberds—all sorts of weapons were thrown at Gu Yan.
Gu Yan thought to herself: As expected, these guys came for me? But why? Is it because I'm not a demon? Or because I'm a cultivator?
"Gu Yan—"
Mu Yue shouted, seeing that Gu Yan was already surrounded, and he was anxious.
Seeing that he wanted to come over, Gu Yan shouted, "Don't come over! These guys are coming for me. If you stay there, nothing will happen to you. If you can get out, get out now. If you stay, I have to worry about whether the attacks will affect you during the battle."
After Gu Yan finished speaking, he revealed his Dharma form and directly grabbed the Vermilion Bird Flag. He poured large amounts of spiritual power into the Vermilion Bird Flag, and the Vermilion Bird Flag shone brightly red. Then, the void turned into a sea of fire, and huge Vermilion Birds appeared in the sea of fire.
The entire sky over the land of demon gods was bathed in red light. The raging flames unleashed by the Vermilion Bird as it spread its wings melted away the nearest giant puppet.
The scorching heat was unbearable even for Mu Yue, whose strength was equivalent to the late stage of the Spirit Saint realm.
Amidst the sea of fire, Gu Yan's voice rang out once more:
"Get out, go somewhere else! Don't drag me down with you!!"
Gu Yan's voice was icy. Hearing this, Mu Yue showed an angry expression, even though he knew that Gu Yan was saying it on purpose.
Mu Yue gritted her teeth, turned around, and flew towards the exit.
He knew he couldn't help Gu Yan here; instead, he would only make her hesitant and timid. So he sped towards the exit, transforming into a moon-white rainbow that passed through the massive exit passage and left the land of the demon god.
Once Mu Yue left, Gu Yan unleashed her ultimate move without any restraint.
After the Vermilion Bird Banner swept through the land, the Azure Dragon Banner followed with another wave of attacks. Explosions rang out continuously, as if the entire Demon God's Land was about to collapse, with spatial rifts appearing everywhere.
"Cultivators! Suppress them!"
Distorted sounds came from all directions. The white-clad youth stood in the sky, surrounded by four enormous banners. From within the shattered world, however, resounding voices, both oppressive and violent, echoed:
"Cultivators! Suppress them!"

Outside the Demon God's Land, Mu Yue waited anxiously. He desperately wanted to rush in, but even if he wanted to, he couldn't break the seal on the entrance to the Demon God's Land alone. He could only wait anxiously for Gu Yan, praying for her in his heart.
Suddenly, a rumbling sound came from the spatial rift at the entrance.
Then a terrifying power surged out from the crack, and Mu Yue only had time to activate her shield.
His vision was engulfed by the intense light, the floating rocks at the entrance were shattered, the barrier was destroyed, and the resulting storm shattered Mu Yue's shield, sending him flying over a hundred miles away, where he crashed heavily into a mountain peak. When Mu Yue finally got up, he found the shockwave approaching, and he retreated rapidly in terror.
One mountain after another was destroyed, and by the time everything calmed down, the entrance to the land of the demon god had disappeared.
"Gu Yan—"
Mu Yue shouted in disbelief.
